Katie McKenna, co-author of this blog is a Journalism and Political Science major at UMass. She enjoys meeting new people through reporting and is currently a writer at the Ed/Ops section of The Daily Collegian.
Michelle Woodward, also a co-author of this blog, is a Journalism and Business major at UMass. Her passion is in filming and editing video, and aspires to be a broadcast journalist. She is a member of UVC-TV 19, and a regular contributor to the campus news show, "UMass This Week."
We created this blog to showcase our work and provide a forum with information about journalism at UMass for other students. We chose a simple template to give our blog the feeling of an old style newspaper with touches of new technology.
At the bottom of our blog, viewers are able to see how many people have visited with our Stat Counter. Although we created the blog with UMass journalism students in mind, with this tool we are able to see that people from elsewhere are finding it useful as well.
We will continue to update our blog throughout the semester and we hope you will come back to see new changes!
